about YOUR GUIDE, akiva GERSH

Akiva Gersh is passionate about sharing his love for the history of ancient and modern Israel with kids and adults alike. He has been teaching Jewish and Israel Studies for 20 years, including 13 years leading and guiding groups all around Israel, showing them the wonders of the land and the people who have inhabited it for thousands of years.

​​

Originally from New York, Akiva moved to Israel in 2004 and has worked with thousands of students throughout his career, caring most about helping them to develop a personal connection with their Jewish heritage, with Jewish history and with Israel.

 

Akiva received a BA from Brown University in Religious Studies, an MA from Yeshiva University in Jewish Education and rabbinic ordination from Yeshivat Sulam Yaakov in Jerusalem.

​

He lives in Pardes Hanna, Israel with his wife Tamar and their four children.
